Solace Organic Spa Retreat offers an array of holistic therapies by some of Salt Spring Island’s finest and qualified practitioners. Our spa menu offers aromatherapy massage, RMT massage therapy, acupressure, reflexology, shiatsu, thai massage, facials, wraps, steam sessions, salt glows, solace skin care, manicures and pedicures, C.M.P. medi-pedicures and couples or “side by side” Solace for two. We offer Spa Ritual: infrared sauna and forest hot tub, spa packages and spa parties at this location.

Our second ‘sister’ location, downtown Ganges on Salt Spring Island, BC. You will find us just behind DEBFIT fitness and yoga at 103 Park Drive. Locals and hotel guests enjoy the peaceful eCo contemporary spa design and beautiful garden courtyard, lotus pond, an array of organic and eCo friendly spa products in our gift shop boutique and two treatment rooms with the convenience of being in town. We offer our Salt Spring Island made Solace Organic Spa products as well as our Licensed Esthetician offering Babor Organic facials and Waxing, Dr. Hauschka Esthetics, Footlogix foot care products, and a full line of Spa Ritual eCo nail laquers. Solace Organic Spa eCo-friendly philosophy
At Solace Organic Spa we are committed to sustainable business practices. An all-encompassing approach to eco-friendliness is a top priority.
We are actively involved in earth friendly practices such as reusable bags and natural linens, low voltage lighting, organic fabrics, non – toxic cleaners and disinfectants, eco friendly paper and ink used for printed materials, environmentally friendly paints and locally propagated flower arrangements.
We do all laundry in-house using natural detergents and bleach alternatives. We utilize certified organic ingredients when possible; the remainder of our ingredients are either wild-crafted or all-natural.
We donate to local schools and ethical organizations.
No DBP, acetone, alcohol, formaldehyde or acrylics. All products cater to vegans, are cruelty-free and free of parabens and sulfates. Our natural product lines we offer are Solace Organic Spa (made on Salt Spring Island, BC) , Babor Skincare & Dr. Haushka Products (from Germany), Footlogix and SpaRitual (eCo &vegan nail laquers).

Julie Doobenen Creator of Solace Organic Spa and producer of Solace Organic Spa products since 1997. Owner/operator/leading spa and massage practitioner, Registered Jin Shin Do® Acupressure, C.M.P. Certified Master Pedicurist, Aromatherapy & Reflexology. Creator of Solace Organic Spa products. Currently managing the Spa, but as a practitioner on a leave of absence until further notice.
Leslie Andrews In the spa industry for over 20 years. Alberta trained RMT, Certified Aromatherapist, trained with “Dr. Hauschka Philosophy” specialized facial and body treatments, Indian Head Massage, Hot Stone Massage, Lymphatic Drainage, Solace Facials, Reflexology and LCN Pedicures.
Lesley Oswell Licenced Esthetician, trained in Vancouver at Blanche MacDonald & The Cosmetology School of Canada and offers over 20 years experience is Esthetics. Specializes in using the Babor Organic Skincare line from Germany. Having lived on Salt Spring Island for the past 15 years Lesley has learned the balance of living a holistic life here while raising her children. Lesley is happy to offer her expertise in Esthetic Services.
Heidi Price Certified Massage Practitioner & Registered Yoga Teacher. Heidi specializes in Deep Flow massage a unique style that allows her to individualize each treatment. She skillfully interweaves the many different techniques she has studied including: Deep Tissue, Shiatsu, Swedish, Reflexology, Joint Release and Yoga principles to provide you with whole body experience of release, rebalance and rejuvenation.
