Solace Health & Safety
Health & Safety Protocols
We follow all current provincial health authority mandates. We strive to ensure quality outcomes by implementing an evolving plan that may be updated as we go and our staff have been specially trained with industry standards of disinfection protocols as well as considering every step of treatment processes to ensure we meet your needs in a focused & safe manner that is in accordance with guidelines established by BC Health Authority, BC Center of Disease Control & WorkSafe BC.
We have a heath and safety policy for covid-19 in place and we hope that you find strength in our preventative measures to control the safe environment we have at the spa and know that we are doing everything we possibly can to help stop the spread of Covid-19.
We do not work at the spa if we have cold/flu symptoms and we require staff to provide a negative covid19 test upon returning to work if any of the symptoms were presenting. We ask that you please re book your reservation with us if you are feeling sick.
We are committed to ensuring your health and safety and will continue to update protocols as suggested by our provincial health officials. We have waived our 72 hour cancellation policy for any sickness symptoms. Thank you for your honesty.

What is the difference between disinfection and sterilization?
Sterilization is defined as the destruction of all microbial life, whereas disinfection involves the use of a chemical sterilant/agent to eliminate virtually all recognized pathogenic microorganisms. Disinfection and sterilization are both decontamination processes. While disinfection is the process of eliminating or reducing harmful microorganisms from inanimate objects and surfaces, sterilization is the process of killing all microorganisms. There are three levels of disinfection: high, intermediate, and low. The high-level disinfection process kills all vegetative microorganisms, mycobacteria, lipid and nonlipid viruses, fungal spores, and some bacterial spores.
